What do I need?
Lights, Camera, Internet!
Lights: Well-lit area that is free from distraction.
Camera: Webcam or iPad, stabilized to the side of the piano. A smartphone might work in a pinch, but they are not recommended.
Internet: reliable high-speed connection. If you can make high-quality Skype, Zoom, or FaceTime calls, you're good to go!
What next?
Once you are accepted into the Distance Learning program (congrats!) you'll have an orientation specifically tailored to make sure you are making the most out of your equipment and environment. We'll review best practices, and you'll get the answers to any questions you might have.
I’ve been offering online lessons ever since relocating to Oregon, when some of my students from Arizona wished to stay with the studio. When quarantine became a new way of life, my studio was prepared — and it is my philosophy to always continue learning, exploring, and evolving to better serve the needs of all online students!
